Børnemusik uden Grænser
One of the things we are most proud of is using our design expertise to really make a difference in people’s lives. We hope this minor contribution will help make a difference, even if it is just a little smile.
Børnemusik uden Grænser is a NGO that aims to bring live music to children and young people living in Danish asylum centres. The NGO facilitates contact between the asylum centres and professional musicians, organising all practicalities and covering all expenses.
The challenge was to design a brand identity for the NGO. Because of its many stakeholders: Children, leaders of asylum centres, musicians, private distributors, press and politicians, the identity design needed to convey the right message and appeal to very different target groups.
Using Billie Holiday’s “What a Little Moonlight Can Do” and Nat King Cole’s “Smile” as inspiration sources, we created a playful, and powerful, brand identity. As part of the design, m We also brought the mascot “Trompetdyret” (The Trumpet Animal) to life in co-operation with the well-known Danish illustrator Carl Quist-Møller as a part of the design solution.
