For children in Danish asylum centers, music can lighten the heart and design can help bring a little smile

Challenge

The challenge was to design a brand identity for the NGO. Because of its many stakeholders: Children, leaders of asylum centres, musicians, private distributors, press and politicians, the identity design needed to convey the right message and appeal to very different target groups.

Solution

Using Billie Holiday’s “What a Little Moonlight Can Do” and Nat King Cole’s “Smile” as  inspiration sources, we created a playful, and powerful, brand identity. As part of the design, m We also brought the mascot “Trompetdyret” (The Trumpet Animal) to life in co-operation with the well-known Danish illustrator Carl Quist-Møller as a part of the design solution.
